PS sorry for tardy reply, yes we do like the America thing, first went 20 years ago courtesy of the Make-A-Wish-Foundation when our youngest daughter was suffering from Leukeamia, stayed at Give Kids The World village in Kissimmee, Florida. She died soon after our return but we keep going back to where she had some happy times in her short life. She was 5 1/2 when she died.
It's a fantastic place to visit.

Hi and welcome Pete, if it was me, as you will have to remove and unscrew the console to wrap in carbon film, I would send the panels for hydro dipping at wicked coatings, will be a much nicer and durable finish.

I had never seen this done and didn't know anything about it. Saw this but still don't understand it. Frankie:

Maybe someone from another generation will explain it to us Frankie. Looks a bit like witchcraft to me. JIM
 
Guys it's a transfer.

First you prep the surface of the part, to get it smooth and free of contaminants, you may even prime the surface, then depending on design the transfer is cut to shape and placed face down in a tank of water. An activator is the sprayed over the back of the transfer to remove the backing, leaving just the pattern in suspension on top of the water. You then dip the part through the transfer and into the water tank, and the transfer is now covering your part, this is then cured to harden off, and usually finished off with a top coat of lacquer.

Yes Frankie, took 50 years to develop and a lot of darts, early tests failed as they used real mother in laws, and they would not keep still.....
