Hi all , Just joined the forum as I'm looking at buying a Z3 later in the year.
Think I'll probably end up going for a 2.8 or 3.0 engine and don't mind a bit of work as this will be a wk end toy and I like messing about in the garage.
My car history ranges from Alfa's to Supras with a Lotus thrown in for good measure. Along came 2 little girls and trackday toys for the weekend became swimming lessons and horseriding needless to say I'm ready to put something back in the garage and get oily hands.
Look forward to reading through the forum and picking up advice and knowledge.

Welcome from Leeds, the straight six engunes are great, had mine almost 18 months now and enjoying it!
 
Really looking forward to it , Last time I had a straight 6 it was in a 2jz with two turbo's attached.
Im almost tempted by the 2.2 as Im not buying it for speed and from what ive read they are the best sounding
 
After lots of looking and reading I'm going for a pre face-lift 2.8. Just need the right one to come up at the right money. I have around 5k that I'm comfortable spending as it will be only used summer months so dont want too much value sat there not doing much.
Really looking forward to it.
 
Well I put a deposit on one last Saturday and should be picking it up on the 14th. Been cleaning out the garage today in preparation.
Its a pre facelift 2.8 in Cosmos Black with red leather.
