My mother's 99 Z3 with 47k miles on it has developed the issue where the headlights stay on regardless. I have pulled fuse 34 which is for the 'crash module' and that solved the issue. But I need to know the actual part number to replace it.

to the forum from me too in Stafford. I would check the headlight switch itself. The dimmer part degrades over time and releases a white dust. Some may have got into the switch part. Good luck.
