New Member - 1999 Z3 1.9 Atlanta Blue

Hi everyone, a quick intro, new to Z3 ownership, simply put, I just wanted something to have a bit of fun in the ever increasing temperatures of the great British summers
I picked up a 1999 1.9 Z3 in Atlanta Blue with approx 124k on the clock, runs well, bodywork a little tired, outer sills will need replacing which will give me the opportunity to see what lies beneath!
This week I have pulled out the one piece chrome roll hoops that block the upper storage box from opening and replaced with an OEM roll bar set with appropriate matching storage box (eBay find), even managed to swap the lock mechanism over to keep the same key working.
A couple of other small things done include aerial grommet, it had totally disintegrated and door handle gaskets, seat bushes also need doing.

Welcome.
There's a good article on sill removal when you get around to it.
Took mine off a few times for repair/treatment but eventually had to renew. Also check inside of wing panels when you are doing it.

In your profile, fill out the bit that asks where your Zed lives, let me know how you get on with that, it will show country as a badge where mine says Australian Zeds....Alternatively let me know, Ill do it for you..And as @Mint just demonstrated putting an @ before the members name, alerts that member to the fact they have been mentioned in a post. Oh, and welcome aboard..
