New life for an old friend

Hi, my bday gift to myself at 50 was a 2001 Z3 3.0. After 12 years and 105,000 miles of daily use it was unwillingly abandoned. Then in 2020 a slow refurbishing and personalization was started. Now for my 75th it is almost ready to be re-gifted to me. Looking for parts everywhere I came upon this site which gave me a possible solution for a broken plastic part, sealing frame. Hope somebody shares their experience with a replacement rubber seal.
