I looked up the wind deflector that you have on yours and am I correct that it’s tinted because they have different variations like some of them say clear some of them say Lex

From the UK. You have two options for a wind deflector on a car with roll hoops which I assume you have? the factory fabric mesh deflector that fits over the hoops and the aftermarket clear Perspex ones that fit to the back of the hoops, they can effect the operation of the storage box lid, not sure if their available in the US?

Thank you! I would really like the factory mesh deflector, but I’ve been researching it and it appears to me that it will need to be shipped from Europe, and the postage is expensive.

Appears we have identical cars! Mine is also the 3.0i. Excuse my lack of knowledge of BMWs, this is my first one : ) . Is yours automatic or manual? I looked up the wind deflector link that you sent, and am I correct that it’s tinted, and is Lexan the material it’s made of? And do you leave it on all the time? It doesn’t affect the top being up?

Mine's a manual. I grew up driving manual transmission cars and really enjoy driving them. My daily drivers are all autos, but I get my 3 pedal fun with the Z.

When I bought my deflector, you could choose tinted or not. I'm pretty sure it is indeed Lexan. I chose the untinted version. I leave it on all the time and it does not interfere with the top at all.
