Lucy the Z3 from Hong Kong

Hey all,

Glad to be a part of the forum. I've got a 1997 1.9 M44 right hand drive Z3 named Lucy.
Having some issues with her at the moment but am getting them fixed bit by bit..

Is she vinyl wrapped? Was looking to do this with my old Zed, but bought a different one instead!

Hey Gary, Thanks! no she isnt vinyl wrapped, it would have cost me US$2000 so what i did was i got plastidip cans from the US and had them shipped over. total cost, 3 hours of sweat and US$175 in plastidip... she is now a head turner and kids call me batman lol

I'd be interested to see some close ups of the car to see what the plastidip looks like. How many cans did it take to do the whole car and whats the finish and durability like?

Sure thing guys, its been p****** down here and right now im having the entire air-conditioning system replaced. I shall have her back next week and will put up better photos. the one i put up is only 3 coats. I have to finish up but haven't had the time. I used 6 cans in total for 3 coats.

I dont know if you can tell but on the right side of the hood there are some streaks, this was caused by me losing focus and not shaking the cans long enough! Will have to use some paint thinner to smooth it out later.
