Introducing 'Rosie'

Great colour choice, the blue really does come up looking great, but does show the stone chips.

I guessed it would when I was looking at it yesterday. I'm pretty sure under the swirls there is a good foundation of paint, but to be honest I've taken a bit of a punt on it condition wise :nailbiting:. There is a pearl under all the rough though, I'm convinced!

That said going on the price guide Ian does in the car club magazine a 2.2 Sport classed as "non garage-queen/non-dog but decent example" would be around the 4.9k range. I'm well under that range by a country mile :D

Interesting, I bought my 2002, 2.2 Sport nearly 2 years ago for well under 4.9k so I think the price guide is (a bit) optimistic:(

Also why 'Rosie'

Don't forget this is an average. There are some low mileage 2.2 models on Autotrader etc, for upwards of £10k. Also private seller expectations are usually higher and push the average price up somewhat. 2.2's start on Autotrader/eBay etc start in the early £3k's, and Sports just a bit more than that.

The registration plate starts RO51 :joyful:

Looks a good example Gaz! The 2.2 are on par with the 2.8 regards performance so it should feel quicker than the 2.0 ;)

And topaz blue is an awesome colour! My 2.8 wasn't a show queen but after a good clay, polish then wax it came up great ;) its a nice colour..

Have you any plans for it???

Look forward to seeing Rosie at Zedfest! :D
