G'day from Down Under

Hi Bob, just realized, you are a man of impeccable taste who knows how to sport a helmet....:beer
G'day Gary; must admit to plagiarism. I saw yours and thought, I can't do better, but maybe nearly as good?

Hi Bob, A warm welcome from me too. I live in the South of Sydney and own a 1997 Z3 1.9l which I bought in Melbourne early this year. I have recently fully serviced the car myself and planning to replace the seat bushes soon. - Kith
G'day Kith, Great, we must arrange to have a beer sometime. The bushes were not difficult, but took me a bit longer than one hour. There is only one trick: one of the kebebs has a left hand thread. It goes on the right hand side of each seat, as you're sitting on them. Not a big problem if you get it wrong, it just means the seat will go backwards instead of forwards...Bob

Hi Bob,

Good to hear you got the seat bushes fitted OK and you are now enjoying your Z3 as it should be. I think it would be good to say most of us are envious that summer is just starting where you are considering winter is just starting here in blighty. All the best and just give a shout if you get problems as everyone is extremely helpful on here.
G'day Aceman
Thanks for that. Summer is definitely here: 40degrees here in Sydney today, ideal for staying indoors with all the windows tightly shut. Could do with perhaps just a touch of Blighty weather?
Bob

G'day Bob, from Lincoln, England. A guy I ised to work with now lives up the top end. He emigrated to NZ then on to Queensland. Enjoy your car and this great forum.:)

Tony.
G'day Tony,

Thanks for the good wishes. I know a couple of people from Queensland: I wonder if they know each other?
Bob

Hi Bob, that would be Mike you refered too!! And I see we have another horny old timer with boobs on their helmet but at least yours are multicoloured. lol

Welcome Bob!
Congratulations for both cars; they look great together!
Very nice color for the Zed; it fits perfect for the Australian summer.
And 1.9 is reliable and drivable machine.
Many miles of joy,
Dan

G'day Bob, thanks for the advice on replacing seat bushes. Yes, we must meet sometime. PM me when you have a moment. - Kith

G'day Bob, I replaced the seat bushes today in 35 deg. heat. It took several hours to remove the mounting bolts, disconnect the cables, sand down the bushes and then fit them back. I am glad it is finally done.

Great news you guys got your seat bushes done, well done now you can do some of this :coolsteer)

Welcome to this amazing forum you will learn so much and you will have plently of fun :)

Thanks to Aceman for manufacturing a quality product and to other forum members for the support.
