I normally think of filling up when I start dropping below the quarter (an over developed phobia of running out - I know, I know).
I used to reliably count on 340-350 miles on a tank. Something's happened in the last year and I'm quite often getting over 400 miles before the nerves kick in and I have to find a pump.
Yes I know mine is the baby 2 liter 4 pot . . . But still.
I've a friend with a 35i who *dreams* of 300 miles on a tank. What ARE people getting on a tank for different engine sizes out of interest ?
The cars computers average often shows 29 point something MPG..29.4 - 29.8 ish..
I have a habit of booting it second & third cos it sounds ace but generally stay within the posted speed limits..
Last time I calculated, my 2.2 manual had done about 26 mpg. Not driven particularly hard but quite a bit of town driving. So around 300 miles to a tank…
My 2.2 has averaged just over 27mpg over that last 30k miles of mostly spirited driving. Best tank to tank consumption was just over 34mpg and worst just over 20mpg. Consumption is typically worse in winter. Normally plan to refuel at around 250 miles on a tank.
First Z4 E89 2 litre N20 (with a 280bhp remap) averaged 39mpg
Second Z4 E89 2 litre N20 (184bhp without a remap) averaged 35mpg
M54 3 litre Z3 averages........no idea. Don't care. I would guess at around 25mpg.
Can anyone recommend someone in the fylde coast area that can fit my hardtop I've submitted enquiries at 2 garages who proclaim to be able to do anything to bmws but seemingly contacting me is beyond their skill set
