I'm a big fan of George! Many years ago I picked up an Album of his at a boot sale or second hand record shop, not having heard of him, and was immediately hooked. A rocking slide master, with a great little band.... For those that don't know, Google 'Move It On Over', 'Madison Blues', Steady Rollin' Man' and 'Be Bop Grandma'. Superb stuff.

All Right Now was a great favourite with the punters when I played in the Rock band down in Sussex, even with the youngsters, who must have heard to it on their parent's record collection! We were lucky to have a brilliant guitarist who could nail all the solos to a 'T'. Jeez, I miss those gigs........:cool:

I think it's Proud Mary, rolling on a river is in the lyrics, great song all the same :thumbsup:

A rarely heard favourite of mine is the (Ike and) Tina turner track 'Baby -Get it On'...... The magnificent band Vintage Trouble do a wonderful cover of this.
