Calender really is lovely and great quality. One very small critique if I may :nailbiting:. We use ours as some do a diary, unfortunately there is very little room to right events and apointments on there. Maybe reduce the size of the pic a little next year to allow a more space to write in. :thumbsup:

Any comment is welcome Dave. :thumbsup:
At the end of the day good or bad the aim is to improve the end product .
This year was all put together in a very short time frame wasn't sure how the end product was going to be but I am pleased with the grade of paper etc all nice quality .

Same goes to any other forum members who read this post up your comments as what you would maybe like to see in future calendars ( format / style / content etc )

( Shameless plug time :whistle::whistle:)

Makes sense to me to vote for each months calendar picture as they come along. Saves putting a couple of people under pressure at the end of the year to come up with a list for the printers.

I agree to an extent Tony, we would have the best 12 pics of the year as voted by the members. However, the potential downside could be that it could be biased towards one model if most pics that won POTM were E89's for example.

There is also the picture itself it might look fine on the forum and not be suitable for blowing up to calendar size but ideally the picture of the month entries would make the main bulk of the calendar if not all of it.

It’s not pressure with the right tools Tony. The last few calendars have each been drawn from several hundred images. Part of the process is to tell a story. It takes about 40 hours beginning to end. Not a massive investment.

I don’t want to impose my will on the outcome, but, having judged photos and competitions for many years, I hope we’ve created something people enjoy. As Steve said, part of that process is working out what transfers well into a printed format and elevates the outcome. Part of that is considering the aspect ratio of the target print. Easy to say, but, it’s possible to turn a great photo into a train crash with the wrong treatment. Maybe though, having taught photographic composition skills for many years, I’m too much a perfectionist and photo snob.
Am perfectly happy supporting and guiding Steve rather than leading :thumbsup:

It was simply a suggestion, of sorts, to try to take the load off someone who has volunteered his time and effort to produce something for other members on top of organising one of the more involved meets/cruises of the forum year.
