+1 on that Snoops.... :-bd

We may be up for just the one night stay... either date is fine; the sooner decided the better so Caroline can get it booked off work.

i have checked with michelle, she is off on the weekend of the 8th but might not get the first dates off.

:)

Thanks for the feedback so far and it looks like folks are swaying towards the banquet... it would be nice to do something different and the 8th seems the better date.

As far as fancy dress is concerned I think this leaves us plenty time to find or make something.

I'll ring the hotel up tomorrow and confirm the price, find out how to secure places and how long they will hold a booking for whilst they await the deposits.

I'll also see how many bookings they have for that night to try and gauge how flexible people can be making their mind up but I would suggest the sooner the better.

It's only £10 each to secure so if people are genuinely up for this and I could get the hotel to hold some places then those that want to attend could maybe let me have their deposits at ZedFest? Then it will just be a case of booking the hotel individually.

Snoops, why not change the poll in the first page to the options for the dates. It should allow you to change the options and will reset the count to zero again...

Looking at the replies already I think it needs to be the 8th, this accommodates those that have indicated they cannot come on the 1st and the remainder that have replied have said either date.... unless people disagree :-??

Fancy dress,

Liam,

I've sorted yours, just cutting the arse cheeks out of some leather strides for you :ymdevil: :ymdevil: :ymdevil:

A few of us were discussing the Christmas do at Silverstone so I have re-set the poll on page 1 and have contacted the hotel to confirm they still have availability for either type of function but have asked for the 8th of December as this seemed the most popular.

The Premier Inn are still showing a price of £29 per night per room so we could grab ourselves a bargain if we get things sorted soon. Please bear in mind though what I said earlier in the thread.... it is possible that the price will go up as bookings start coming in but it should not go above the £59 per night that was offered as a group booking price, however, we could all get it for £29 as it is one of their larger "branches" and it is all relative to availability.

It would be really helpful if you could vote on page 1 and indicate if you're a definite or a possible on the thread and I will update the 1st post accordingly.

Excellent... I'll be looking for a volunteer to plan and organize a cruise on the Saturday....if I do it it will just be a drive between tea rooms in the area. :p

I plan going down to check out both venues if this is a goer and if anyone wants to go with me let me know.

Okay - can anyone not make the 24th of November ?? I think the 1st thing we need to establish is the date..... so 24th of November everyone ????

i'd need dates snoops so i can book it orf ;)

Gaz I am conscious that not everyone will frequent the forum on a regular basis and obviously want the thread to have a wide circulation... is it worth you doing a "global email" to members to let them know, we spoke before about the newsletter - thoughts ??

Just put out a Tapatalk broadcast as that should reach quite a few. Won't get chance to do a mail shot until Saturday, but will try and fit one in then ;)
