F1 Zorg & Badger GP Fantasy Grand Prix 2016

I had...

Lewis Hamilton £23 million / Mercedes £24 million

Max Verstappen £8 million (Won't be able to afford this kid next season) / Toro Rosso £7 million

Romain Grosjean £5 million (Looked promising at the start of the season) / Haas £3 million

Points 2516
Rank: 1622 / 7340
Budget: £75 million
Spend: £70 million
Changes: 8 remaining

Is it not a right SOB when you have 5 million still in your pocket and can't do bugger all with it?

Must try harder.

Congratulations @Gail a well earned championship.

I have to confess, if it hadn't been for this little competition, I'd probably have given up on F1 completely. I think I've enjoyed this more than most of the racing!

I missed the Abu Dabi race, but will make a point of watching it on catch-up as it sounds like one of the seasons better races! It is such a shame that the difference in performance between the teams means a leader needs to deliberately slow the pack up to put other drivers in a situation where they stand a chance of challenging the lead team.

I'd love to see either success ballast added to a car when it wins or dyno tested engines with a power limit/curve imposed that is achievable by all teams. Anything to make it a "race" again, and not a tactical time trial where the biggest budget and most advanced team wins all the time.

To be honest, the drivers championship for me almost became like the American Election, only 2 options and I didn't want either to win! Patriotism made me favor Lewis and I do admire him more now for what he did at Adu Dabi, but lets be honest, would Vettel have compromised a fellow Germans title hopes?

So will Mercedes and Toto sack or penalise Lewis? Hell no! The reason they haven't made a statement yet is because 1, the lawyers are probably checking to see even if they dare to, and 2, I bet Toto is watching the media and public reaction before deciding. Lewis has brought them a huge amount of airtime, and what do the sponsors want?

The sad thing is, Lewis is is being referred to as an "employee", and Team Mercedes is being referred to a a "Company". That's not the spirit of racing.

Anyway, roll on 2017 and lets see if not missing 2 sets of predictions can make a difference!

Accepted, I never win anything. When will you present it? OK, I'll admit it, I keep forgetting my predictions. I don't have the same excuse as you Mike but I'll go with the fact that my memory is not what it used to be:D
