Use this thread to ask questions, and talk Zedshed related Nonsense. I’ll make a start.

Zedshed was a capacity today. Some new faces entering the fold. Between all the socialising we still managed to built a Vanos and gearbox indent pins. These jobs are all easily achievable at any Zedshed garage around the Uk.

OK I'll ask a Zedshed related question..
Have you ever replaced the master cylinder pressure sensors on a dsc equipped z3 .
I done a set and found access to the back one very awkward.

I never have mate. Some photos would be appreciated. What was the reason for replacing?

Good fun yesterday, nice to see a few new faces (the old ones aren’t up to much!)

Always amazes me what is achieved in a standard single garage

Life changing moment - Costa strawberry and cream cooler! Cheers Paul

Had a good day installing today continuing my rear end refit but got stuck as I could not find my handbrake support 34411163978

and bolts typical as it’s the second set I have misplaced or accidentally thrown away but looking at the ///M trailing arm it has a lip like that part. Have I’ve been buying that part unnecessarily? @Lee

Is it possible you thought you threw the originals away because they were never there in the first place?

Tony.

Tony’s right. The M don’t use these little brackets. There should be a tiny little ledge already there. Just need those two flat bolts.

Quick question - anyone know where there's an easy connection to a feed which is only live with the ignition on for daylight running lights - and hopefully under the bonnet?
Thanks
Bill

Oops, sorry, Z3M
I used to run them off the side lights. But some guys here run a new relay from the fuse box. Plus some fancy relays to dim them when the headlights are on.

Most DRL kits come with a dimming relay and all plug and play. Usually just needing an ignition fed live, a live from the dipped headlight feed (take off back of headlight unit) and an earth. You can pick up an ignition fed live from the fuse box using an "add a fuse" connector.

Thanks Lee, I've wired into the sidelights and all works - would like to have them come on with ignition. I'll investigate the fuse box and relay option. Tony, thanks for the info - these are angel eye replacement headlights so not sure about dimming relay. Sounds more complicated than I thought 😱
