ZedShed (Midlands).

Hello.

Can i politely ask. Do you help out all z3 enthusiasts? (Zshed?) I might be getting some coilovers and outer sills soon (both 2nd hand) and need them fitted??

Would prob need treat inner sills for rust whilst outers are off and outersills before putting on. (Outer i was planning on tidying up myself whilst not on car) (is it safe travel with outersills in passenger footwell/up the seat lol. I also have an exhaust rattle at 3k rpm a roughish idle and oil al on undersife of engine which not sure if old as the car doesnt lose any oil or leak on my drive 😜

Just wondering what the zshed is all about as i keep going local garage for odd jobs and getting expensive as im not mechanically minded lol

Thanks

Neil.

Well, today saw me cutting up the old Garden Shed panels and loading them into Gary's old van to drop them in a field up the road ready for bonfire night.

A week tomorrow will hopefully see the new shed in this space.
More room in the "Shed" for other work.
In the hope that next year we can organise another Torksey Lock Cruise and and great lunch at The White Swan. Assuming you would like to come?

Tony.
Are you guys still allowed to have bonfires? Fire crackers as well ? Dam !, we are so over governed in this part of the world.

What they told us when we ordered our new shed 4 months ago.
1. It would be delivered and erected today.
2. I would have to clear the site and extend the original footings by 4ft.

All done and ready for this morning.
Footing extended.

Site cleared.

Now, to what they didn't tell us.
Maximum width of load allowed is 8ft. (in this Decimal age). Shed floor would be 12ft. x 10ft. (oversize) so, it had to be made in 2 pieces to be carried on the road. Big problem, in that this creates a join where there would be no support so it couldn't be erected today. I have the get a central row of blocks laid to support the joint across the floor. So no new Shed until Friday now. Not happy.

The rest all stacked against the big shed till whenever and it's gone very dark in there.

John and Sharon up the road got theirs delivered and erected and are very happy with it.

I has big plans for later today and tomorrow. Oh well.

Very frustrating Tony. Service throughout virtually all sectors is simply appalling, IMO.

It certainly has seemed to take a nosedive Dawn and that's for sure. In fairness a lot of it has been forced by shortage of custom and supply. I think over the last 18 months many people have lost the common courtesy approach to Retail. Sales.

Tony.

Thank you Paul, we paid (inclusive) for the shed to be erected on site so we will let them earn it. Really appreciated mate all the same.

Tony.

Progress today. Blocks laid for the floor joint.

That'll support a few zeders jumping up and down.

New shed erected today. 2 guys and around 40 minutes. Job done. Beefed up the security by changing some wood screws for coach bolts, fitted one of my patent door stays and started fitting some cabinets saved from the bedroom makeover.

No mate, but there will be room in the other shed again now. Sad thing is it will soon need to be going in there.

Tony.

Next thing is to make a gate to to place between the new shed and the garage from the old Shed door which I saved from the bonfire heap. The tomatoes are almost done and by next weekend they will be in the green bin. The cabinets in the Shed with the sliding glass doors are going (a friend says they may make a few £££ as old things are fashionable, again) so there'll be a bit more room around the pit which can only be a good thing.

Tony.

Nice work Tony, when you finally got started
Looks good too
