It is quite a fiddly job to get the piston and dust seal back into the calliper. Make sure everything is spotlessly clean when rebuilding too. Hope this helps Phil.

Hello everyone and Saturday morning greetings.
I'm just in the process of compiling the write-up guide as to How to Service a 2.8L 1999 model and will post this as a separate thread. Anything that I've missed out, let me know and I'll edit the document.
Does anyone know if I can attach a downloadable pdf file guide so that members can have a hard copy available as they work on their cars?
 
You could upload the pdf to Dropbox or Google drive and provide a link that is accessible to everyone.
People then click on the link and the pdf opens. They can then save it to their device.

Some of the regular Shedders will know that when it really rains here it comes in under the garage doors.
Time has come to fix this so I bought some weather strip of eBay to stop this happening.
Previously when it rained hard (like this morning) the side of the garage where my Z lives would be flooded the full width of the door and halfway along my car. After getting the trim cut to fit and laid across the doorway (Not stuck down yet though) this is definitely a huge improvement and when its stuck down there'll be no water getting in, or dust and muck.

Great bit of work on the service guide. Just one bit of additional advice for any newbies - am sure Tony would agree - Always use axle stands (or similar) to take the weight before getting under the car. :thumbsup:
Strong though they are, hydraulic jacks can fail or slip, especially when you’re using significant force. :nailbiting: :hungover: :nurse:

Testing time today. The PVC front of the garage we looking a bit green so out came the snow foam gun and power washer.

After a soak and a blast off with the power washer it looked much better.
