Managed to reschedule our Brecon Beacons run out today, 13 cars Z3's and Z4's starting off at Merthyr at 11:00am and heading through Penderyn then Sennybridge before taking the Military Roads across the Beacons to Tirabad. We got split up at Cynhordy due a Satnav glitch but got back together for a stop at Llyn Brianne Reservoir and Dam where refreshments were taken at the Burger Bar on site. Departed and managed another navigation error and ended up in Tregaron so had to retrace our route to drop down the Devils Staircase to Beulah. Some incredible roads and stunning scenery to enjoy so our off route excursion gave us the chance to use roads we hadn't been on before. Back on track we passed through Builth Wells and used the Old Radnor road then crossing over the river Wye at Erwood, we should have carried on and used a small suspension bridge further on but our leader at the time took the more modern bridge. Onward to Three Cocks and refreshments at the Old Railway Garden Centre. We had lost a few on the way there as some started making their way back home. Five of us managed it to the end stop out of the thirteen starters. Weather was kind and judging by the comments on our Group Chat everyone enjoyed the day. Have to plan another outing soon.
