When an old friend of mine gave me a lift home in his new E86 Z4 3.0 Coupe, I was just in awe at just how amazing the car looked and sounded. The way Bangle did the rear quarters and boot spoiler on the E85/86 , reminded me of a Rocket-Bunny bodykit. (very famous JDM bodykit company that got it's fame with the Nissan 240Z and the Mazda RX-7 FD). Because of those styling cues, I always had the Z4 Coupe on my car bucket list. When I was finally in a position to buy myself a Z4, I learnt that they had also done an M version, which transformed the platform in the same seismic way, as the Z3M did for the Z3.
For a bigger person like me (I'm almost 6'5") the Z3 is always going to be a tricky car to deal with on a regular basis. Even my larger Z4M Roadster, is barley big enough for me to fit in properly. I often wonder how I managed with my Mk1 Mazda MX-5 , as it must be around the same size as an Z3?
While I've never wanted to own a Z3, as a Z4M Roadster owner, I respect the Z3 and especially Z3M with the S50 engine.
