Hey Tony, who was the guy in the Bertini, he followed me all the way to Lincoln and turned off down Doddington road, nice chap, we had a bit of banter at 80 mph, then I was so busy waving to him that I nearly hit the car in front of us at the roundabout
I wish I could have made it along. Looks like an amazing day. The Bertini owner from Lincolnshire is @Don Stephenson. I can't wait to see some more pictures of his Bertini.

I had a great time looking at Dons car, first time I've seen a Bertini in the flesh. Shame you could not make it @Anthony Cherry.

Hi Anthony, I did not make time to speak to Don about his Bertini, more's the pity. Hope to catch up with you at some point.

Tony.

Just read through the whole thread, and am immensely proud of how well you guys represented this forum! Lots of new faces and old in the pictures...

Quite rightly Lee's stag weekend took precedence, but we did sit down in the Casino Saturday evening reflecting that there would have been another 5 Zeds there if ZedFest was another weekend. In other news, best stag weekend ever

Had a great day, all went too quickly and didn't get the time to meet everyone. There was a lot of wheeling and dealing going on ( Zed parts) i even managed to get another side vent badge donated by Steve ( @Low Rider) , a well organised event, a big thanks to all involved in organising such a gathering, real nice setting too. Nearly rolled backwards into another Zed on the way out ooops. then on my way back home i came across another z3 (there sat nav must be more up to date than mine) i passed them on the A46 only to find them back in front again a few miles further up=)) (stupid sat nav took me off the A46 just to go right at the roundabout and back onto the A46:eek:) I think we need an Auto jumble meet of some kind, it was great, all the zeders walking about with various sized boxes of goodies. i took my laptop but couldn't remember which members cars needed plugging in ( i had 2 laptops just in case i drained the battery).

Thanks Neil @Mac27040 and everyone who organised a truly fantastic day
and to all the people we met at the Link Hotel including the Z4 guys who made us so welcome in some fantastic super fast cars even though we have a humble ,1.9
So many outstanding cars on the day and the weather was kind well worth the 250 mile round trip.
Tracy.

Brian H,what a star! 715 mile day trip - now he's my hero - a true enthusiast. Pity you had to kill all those poor little midges with the front of the car though Brian.=))

Hi Maurice.
Yes that Alpina was a really lovely car, always impressed when I see one, Like you I would not be ashamed to have that in my garage, and I'd love to be able to drive one.

Cannot quite claim a true day trip as I had an over night stop, @Stevo7682 was the early bird with a 03:30am start.

400 Mile round trip well worth it, although it did feel like 715, took an hour from Loughborough to Forrest gate services this morning.
The bottom of the M1 was also pant, the M25....pants, just short of Dartford bridge, errr pants.

Still Motorhead. No sleep til Hammersmith on the M20, was Ace of spades.

Being a newbie, this event was great. I can now see that a 14 year old car can shine again.
Looking forward to subtle mods and taking care of those important underneath bits.

Thanks Z boys and Z girls

(Alan, your door cards are back safe in Kent, would you prefer collection Dover office or Folkestone home ?)

Saw that too Brian. Will be a truly great sight if it gets anywhere close.
There was much less chat and fewer photos although both our cars appeared a number of times.

Well Brian you and Stevo 7682 both deserve praise for travelling so far,but yes Stevo was the midge killing star.Took him ages to clean them off,but how many did he get on the way back???
Just been speaking to my daughter and she has just driven up there to Bonnie Scotland, but it's work in her case and she doesn't come back until tomorrow.Wonder how many midges she can get!

I'm terrible remembering names, but I think it was Russ who gave me a lot of helpful advice and information about my headlamps yesterday.
Many thanks,
Ken.
