I agree Wayne the grouping was a bad idea, and this was made clear to the relevant parties well before the event!

I hope it doesn't happen next year.
Whilst you did voice your views on forum groupings it wasn't because of the constrained space was it Mark? I understood that it was because you saw forum groupings as divisive.

I already have some ideas for next year to keep all parties happy ;-)

You may have a big group next year if the M44 Massive turn up!

Absolutely awesome weekend. Wouldn't have changed anything apart from the sodding weather that killed our lap!! Those that went back in on Sunday were upgraded to the tarmac by BMW which was nice ) The highlight of my weekend was Duncan running through the lot yelling "GO GO GO, OR IT'S OFF....!!! Very much looking forward to the next big zed event (whatever that might be) and again would like to thank Duncan and Iain for organising such a cracking event.

On z4-forum there is a lot of photo posting going on which is great, I think we need to follow suit.....

There are a lot on the actual Zed Fest write up thread. This thread is on a different theme, and heading slightly off topic from what Mark started it about ;)

People are posting photos on here.

Last years event was far better than this years (many people's comments)

I could not fault last years event, but this years fell short in a few areas.

I think almost everyone had a great time. I think last years location suited last years celebration but I enjoyed this years location for different reasons. Yes it was a little packed and hopefully BMW can justify more space next year. The BMW hospitality was the best at the show bar none and the zed area had a warm friendly atmosphere not many others could match.
I talked to a few porsche owners who had come over specifically to see the Zeds as potential purchases and they commented on how well they were all presented and stayed in the area far longer than they intended.

Strangely perhaps I don't mind a bit of queuing as its part of the fun mixed in with other show cars and part of what makes this event special. If anything entering on Friday and leaving both days was too easy and I missed out on that. Which leads to the only part I would change which was not joining a cruise on the way in. Perhaps I've done too many over the years and I can see the attraction to those who otherwise would not do one but I would prefer next time to just make my own way in perhaps with a few like minded friends who don't mind a bit of fun on the way. There were so many cars flying by I don't know how I resisted peeling off as one of the coupe guys did and entering by the main entrance.

A great weekend, well organised but I think next time I will keep the event to silverstone and the sleepover / socialising separate and make my own way there from the hotel.

Ps the hotel was better than last year, good find. Air con in the room was great and the jacuzzi/free bar even better but I don't know why they kept calling me Duncan ;-)

Ps the bad an loved it really, he was in his element so don't let him fool you.

Anyway I'm on a scouting trip at Lotherton hall this weekend for a porsche event. I'll report back if its a good location and hopefully those close enough can make it to the September meet for another catch up.

Pps when can you buy tickets for next years event - I need to show badman how to really drive his car so he will be in no fit state to worry about where its parked lol
