Boot racks, along with many other vehicle racks are designed with a vertical leading end, the front! In the same way that a flat bed truck always has a vertical front end to help prevent loads moving forward under heavy braking or an accident. So why does anybody fit a rack the wrong way round? It doesn't make any difference whether they have a case that locks to the rack.I can only assume that an owner with a back to front rack either doesn't understand the principle behind the design or just wants to be different. No problem, we are free to be different. When I go out later I will be wearing my shirt back to front and my shoes on the wrong feet.I was going to wear my trousers back to front, but at my age I often need to go at short notice. :)

Well Victor1, with your shirt on WWR just hope you don't try and drive your Z facing backwards. =))

Which ever way round they are I'm not keen on the design. There are some much nicer looking boot racks for other cars like MX5s and MGs. Maybe someone will bring one out for the Z3

No need @Oddly Godly, the MX5 mk2 rack fits perfectly.
