I certainly wouldn't want to drive a car for the first time in the dark and poor and deteriorating weather.
I know it wasn't an ///M but hats just what it was like the night I bought my Z3 from Penistone and drove it home. To be honest I was pleased to get home, a strange car in the rain wasn't the best fun. Mind you the next day was sunny ......................

Tony.

No driving today @Mnbrennan has had the window out to fix it and it's taking a while to get back in its proper fiddly

Funny thing was Ian, my dad bought us 3 lads our first car for £50, and his work mate replace the mini I had with a brand new one with the Reg, TVL 93L. My brother Martins first car was a Mk.1 Cortina in Monaco red, Reg. 8910 VT. Steve's mini was a rather boring 7248 WX. Dawn had a sewing machine.=))

Tony.
Thats a spooky coincidence on the reg.
I bet the sewing machine is still going strong....

Window had dropped on the passenger side. Turns out the slider was no longer attached to the window!! All sorted now

Having never done it and reading horror stories on here, how did it go getting the door card off and back on again?

There is a special tool for the removal of door cards.

You being a proper tool HT means it would be easy for you.
