Hi - I've recently acquired a 2.8 Z3 1999 after looking for a while. I decided it was now or never really as I'm moving into my twilight years but still have some enthusiasm to break out the spanners and sockets, although I'm hoping not to get them out just yet!

Boston green, with green leather and tan trim. It's in good nick, pretty much original but not perfect. It had some kind of Msport upgrade to the interior 20+ years ago. Little bit of crazing on the bonnet, no rust mentioned in any of the previous MOT's and as far as I can tell looks nice and solid.

Other than my Z3 I have a daily driver (Insiginia) not very inspiring but reliable and a Triumph Tiger Sport - I enjoy a good tour on my bike and have 2 sons (well I've got 4 altogether) who also have bikes and we try and hit the continent once a year although we have an Ireland trip pending at the moment just trying to find a 'window' to get going.

I live in Petersfield (nr Portsmouth) down south - I've just hit 66 years young and I'm really into pickleball, another addition later in life.

If you're passing feel free to stop in for a cuppa and a chat.

I do have lots of questions, you'll have heard them all before - I've read the oil thread as that's the first thing is an oil change. You know what, there's so much good information in there, I'm still not sure which oil to use, but I'll get there.

I'm a sociable type, so hoping to meet up with you all as and when I can. All the best to you. Dave.

I'll put up some pictures shortly.

After having a good natter at the Silverstone festival with the lovely crew from this forum, I would highly recommend

Very good colour choice (I may be biased), suits the wide body very well

Here is a link to a thread to assist in parts buying, for when you may need to break out the spanners:

It's Zed 3.
The yanks are just lazy with their use of the English language.
So Pickleball is a new name for 'soft Tennis'?

Yes, we should place Tariffs on Trump for the misuse of our language.

Many thanks - I have the seat bush problem on the passenger side to sort out - so that link will come in handy.

Mmmm......so I'll answer the last bit in 2 ways. The ball you use is 'soft' in comparison to a tennis ball. Is the game a 'soft' version of tennis? Far from it. Any one that's played both will likely say the same (hopefully). :)
