My first video in about 6 months. I had a bad hard drive on the computer and got a new one with Windows 10. I couldn't figure out how to change my iPhone videos into movies for You-Tube until now. I didn't have much time to learn as I was studying for a CDL. I passed the exams and training and tests from Motor Vehicle and now drive a school bus...............my Zed Sled.............Frankie

Don't know how you passed that Frankie you were on the wrong side of the road all the time. =))

Brilliant job mate! What do you do all day while the babies are at school?? ;)

Hope you didn't have any children on board while you were on the public highway videoing, driving one handed:whistle::whistle:;)

Just how long are those things @FRANKIE, we get the afternoon pick at the school down the road from the villa it seems to last a long time too.
Sorry I missed your call yesterday, if we don't get in touch before mid April I'll be on your time for a while.

Tony.

Wait until the bus is full of screaming kids......=))

I get up at 4:30 and make my first 2 runs starting just before 6 AM. After the 2 runs, I'm back in the yard a little after 9 AM. I go home and do whatever needs to be done. I usually try to get in my 2 mile walk, but now every day. Sometimes if I'm feeling a little sleepy, I'll take a short nap. I have to be back in the bus by 1:30 PM for the 2 afternoon runs. I'm back in the yard a little after 5 PM. If any students weren't in school, I'm back sooner. Some students are picked up by their parents instead of taking the bus home. Some stay after school for extra activities. I don't have to worry about them and each one of these shortens my day w/ same pay. I remember working when I was young and having the weekends off. Then I worked for the casinos for 36 years. NEVER a weekend off. Rarely a holiday off. Never get out early for any reason. NOW............... Weekends off, all the holidays off and extra time around the holidays such as around Christmas and Easter. I feel like I'M BACK IN SCHOOL. We don't get paid for the days off. In the last month and a half, I had three extra days off because of snow. Sometimes there's early dismissal and we have to pick up the kids early. Same pay that day but you just get done earlier. PLUS....I always loved to drive and that's ALL I have to do. There is an aid on the bus to take care of the students. To me it's like a dream job. It gets my a$$ out of bed early but I also have to go to bed by 8:30 PM to get 8 hours sleep. The kids are pretty decent. Just a little trouble once in the while. Little kids on the bus:.............."Hey doo doo pants!! Me??? YOU'RE doo doo pants!!.........No, YOU'RE doo doo pants!!!......Don't make me come back there!!!....and so on......Frankie

Mine is 42 feet long. Have to watch the turns so you don't run over the curbs with the rear tires. Also, when you're pulling away from the school, you can't just turn the wheel first and pull away as you have quite a tail swing and you could hit a kid standing on the sidewalk or a utility pole.................Frankie

When in April? How long will you be down there. I'm off in June for the summer. Be nice to ride down there in the ///M but I think you'll be gone by then.

The 7th and 8th graders are a quite lot. In the morning they have ear phones on and rarely even look up, even when getting on the bus. You can say Good Morning, but they don't even hear you. No trouble going home as they can't wait to get home so no one gives you any trouble. I have trouble remembering their names. The days of Jimmy, Joey, Teddy, Freddy and Johnny are gone. Now there's all these freaky "designer" (my label) names that I've never heard of. Thank God two of my kids names are Mike or I'd be totally lost............Frankie

It sounds pretty ok mate. Your only and hour 30 behind me getting up. Makes me feel slightly better although I have 6 hours sleep when I'm at work. 9pm-3am.

Isn't that 9am to 3pm ;)

Tony.

Working on the older smaller drilling rigs you hardly ever got any sleep with all the noise and vibrations going through the old bunk bed.
Used to try to sleep with earplugs in.
