I assume they have discovered a magic way to clear the pollution....just by paying!Strange how paying a fee cancels out any pollution caused by a car. Or is that just me being cynical? Again.![]()

Well guys this happened with logical authorities, I doubt I will find the same understanding here though....Great news mate. We we got rid of the pikeys and you've squashed the build next door. Just need to get Dan sorted now.
Similar to the smog laws in the People's Republik of California. You have to do smog check every 2 years. At one point cars pre-smog were to be required to have smog equipment added. This in the state where hotrodding started. Of course, those with very expensive, classic hotrods were upset, and it took efforts from car clubs and jot rod builders to change that requirement. The biggest fallacy of the whole smog law was that all city , state, and federal vehicles were exempt. That would mean hundreds of thousands of vehicles could continue polluting at will. A number of news reporters took cars off showroom floors and they failed the test. Failure mesny your car was now a "gtoss polluter" and could not be registered for the road...unless you took it to a "referee station" and paid an additional $100 dollars and received a waiver, which would need to be obtained EVERY year. So, in California, money solved pollution problems...that was 25 years ago, God onky knows how bad it's got since then.I assume they have discovered a magic way to clear the pollution....just by paying!![]()
Exactly , same here : "all city , state, and federal vehicles were exempt" + TV news stations cars! Clever find! The Mayor needs to realise that her re-election could depend on her not alienating you guys Dan. Best of luck. The Mayor says it will come back on this Council decision...we don't trust her (it's a she!) , but on the other hand elections are coming and the Mayor is vulnerable...
