Just a quick Hi before I start hounding you all with question :-??

As part of a fund raising measure / skint after wedding exercise I sold my Z4M Coupe. Rather than let Visa have the lot I decided to get back in the 'drift' saddle and buy a Z3 (another part of the exercise was getting rid of my competition drift car too :ymsigh: I've only had it a short while, so the not a lot of progress, but I need to glean some more info of people before I carry out any of the big jobs (fit coilovers, Hydro etc) So at the moment it's just cosmetic, getting my black & red theme off the ground.

Anyway enough of me bleeding my heart (-| Here are some pictures:

Photos from the ad and as I bought it 70k on the clock, lady owner for the last 4yrs, bought from BMW Approved Used:

Then test fitted some 19" CSL style wheels I had in the barn (excuse my dodgy phone pictures):

Didn't expect them to fit (offsets) but turns out they're spot on:

Lovely concave on them, just needs a drop (hence the coilovers to be fitted)

Then Plastidiped the front grill:

And the rear bumper :) (really pleased with how this turned out)

So that's it right now. I'm not going to run with the CSLs, they are a good 30mm bigger in diameter, too much of an increase in ride height. I've bought some Spax coilovers to go on, 30mm rear, 35-55mm at the front. Also got some black 18's to go on. Then sort out a Hydro and alignment. Then get it out on track to see how she goes :coolsteer)

Hello,

I bought a Z3 to go sideways less of the time!

Looking good.

Whats going black next then? Black side gills (was toying with doing this my self), also blanking plates next to the fog lights?

Cheers,

Dave

:D

think I'll leave the side grills, did contemplate it. The fog light blanking plates? Although you've got me looking at that section next to the fog light that's shouting to go black :)

Further updates:
new 18" wheels. Black with polished lip (lip may go black, we'll see when coilovers are fitted)
little spoiler for the boot (waiting to be delivered)
smoked side indicators
Boot rack (waiting to be delivered, it's an MX5 job I got cheap. Hoping I can use it to take x2 wheels to the track to shred :) ) - and of course going black :)
Centre console and small steering wheel plastics are going red (bringing some red into my black interior :) )
Black BMW badges, inside and out
