ok so I have had my Z4 (Ruby) for a while week now, and driven around locally for a bit. Booked into my local Indie in Maidstone for the Blake fluid change and a general check and they read the codes and did some checks and could it find anything wrong - except the CD autochanger is jammed. So today Deb and I made a flying visit to our daughter in Hull (from Kent) for a spot of lunch...!

What can I say wow left at 7am back at 8pm; 485miles averaging just over 34/gallon never missed a beat and very comfy driving for a sport.

however lots of rain and yuck so it's very very very dirty now - so cleaning day tomorrow

Nice one

I personally rate the Z4 as one of the best long distance cruisers I've driven, including a lot of decent motorway munching fleet cars. I no longer have the problem with my right hip after driving long distance. The seats are sublimely comfortable.

Oh, and as you say, to top all of that 34MPG :D

I'm with you there, I think the seats are as comfy as my 320d SE; the suspension though is much firmer.
We did have a bit of a giggle at the SatNav telling us about roundabouts on the A1 that don't exist anymore - took us back a few years as we can both remember them.

@Si , the nav in my old Touareg had similar issues with the Ai too. When I bought my Z4 the CD cartridge was missing and I sourced a S/H replacement from the US last September. Also the Satnav discs were missing too and I got some from this man rustymidgetman@sky.com who was recommended by a member on here. Great value and work great too.

Tony.

Around Grantham by any chance!

Thanks @t-tony I'll have a look, I don't really use it: been driving up and down all my life having most of my extended family in Grimsby Wakefield and Bridlington and us in Kent. It's useful for ETA

If you can do without that's fair enough Si but his price was very reasonable, I probably won't use mine an awful lot but at least it's up to date now. The A57/A1 junction northbound is quite amusing (if you know where you're going).

Tony.

I have to agree about the comfort. These are great motors for euro cruises, you just never get tired of driving them.
I would also recommend this guy for Satnav upgrading

So Saturday it got very dirty, Sunday it got very clean; now it's Monday and it got very wet -sad face until I spotted photo opportunity
