Z4 into Z3

Good morning everyone.

Has anyone done a conversion fitting Z4 seats into a Z3.

I'v tried looking for a thread but can't find anything.
Think my brain is getting overcrowded with all the information it's taking in from this forum..

And put Z4 seats into a Z3 and lots of different things will come up
But I expect your already done that

I think I read somewhere where a guy tried it and had nothing but issues then abandoned the idea to look for something else. If I can find out where I will send you the link. It was a long time ago.

i think they wpould be too wide for the actual car and as such wont fit properly. anything can be made to bolt in as the z3 mounts are very simple. however i think the physical size would be an issue.

options in my head would be

lotus elise seats
z3m or z3 sports seats
full on aftermarket, sparco / recaro etc with custom subframes

I know people that fit aftermarket seats, they just drill through the bottom and stick a nut and bolt in. Also the rear rover 75 seats nicely for that more classic look.

Size will be the bigger issue I think, and unless you can source the Z4 Sport seats I wouldn't bother. Daz3 has fitted some S2000 seats in his which you can see on this link - https://zroadster.org/threads/my-2-8-alpine-white-iii-eaton-m62-build.162/page-12#post-169380
