So is it a myth that M wheels will not fit a 2.8 or other wide body as they look fine to me as the tops don't pertrude
Probably a myth propergated by ///M owners not wanting too many "lookalikes".;)=))

It’s a conspiracy!! But if the car was dropped 30mm, that curled under fender lip would still be dangerously close don’t you think

I think it varies depending on ride height and state of bushes as I’ve seen some where it protruded.
Of course the lower you go the more it tucks. It’s one of the reasons (and the bloody price of them!) I didn’t get the wide rears as I can’t drop mine any lower.

The point about rubbing when compressed is fair point to be considered....but with your skills @Sean d i can’t see why a proper wiiiiide body can’t be created to accomodate (hint hint, I’ll be first to place an order!!)

Still quite a lot of height with -30mm especially on new suspension

It could be done quite easily, the top of the rear wing could be split close to the arch, opened out and a piece inserted and profiled. problem would come where it meets the rear bumper

You could put tyres on with a little "stretch" which gives a bit more clearance.

Sean what about instead of cutting and inserting, what if a good body man just unfolded the underlip of the fender and smoothed it into a flare.

Yes they are the same all around.

They are replicas with a slightly different offset but otherwise the same as the fronts from the factory: 17” Z3M Style alloys made in Italy, square set up (17x7.5j et35) 235/40 ZR17 all around.

I run a 25mm spacer on the rear (could even go to 30mm).

Really enjoy how it handles on the square set up.

You should hopefully be able to find M wheels lot easier in the US than here given the number sold there where much greater. Not many sold here so makes the wheels very hard to come by...

That Zed is gorgeous ! Both sets of wheels look amazing. So those are reproductions? Or was that the other wheels. Fronts for factory M stars are 7.5” . Yours look great! Little darker finish I like
