z3...what's your favourite thing

The best thing would have to be the top down motoring.

The worst thing ( if you can call it that ) is the addiction you end up with for buying new shiny bits for your zed =))

I like the fact that the z3 is a mechanics car young enough to see some refinement and systems but old enough to get stuck in an fix yourself when it needs it.
An all round smile car for me ...buy one you will not regret it !!

Love the looks, Mechanical ease and a great network of new friends.
No garage to keep it nice and warm in winter

Looks, soft top and easy mechanicals for the home mechanic, my 1.9 has adequate power for everyday use and insurance costs are acceptable. Very satisfied with mine.

Best thing for me is the smile it puts on my face every time I drive it with the top down, I even smile every time I look at it.

Sorry @t-tony but someone asked for my opinion and I gave it but I respect all z4 owners. Would I take your car if given it? Yes, would it be my fav of the two, not likely. I prefer the bare knuckle, balls to the wall styling and handling of the z3 is all I was saying brother, no disrespect intended!! JIM

No disrespect taken Jim, but don't talk about comparing them till you have driven both mate.;)

Tony.

Best things - top down motoring and all the friends we've made on here:thumbsup:
Worst thing........................mmmm ......................let me think ........................no, nothing:D

Dave i thought the worst thing for you would be not being able to attend absolutely every event on the zed calendar

It's not the driving Tony it's the styling, I much prefer the lines of the z3 over the z4. It's too modern looking for my liking but i''m okay with others owning them! Just not my cuppa which I know you can respect! JIM

Pre-face lift wide bodied Z3 just heaven to look at.

Tonneau could have a dedicated stowage spot, perhaps behind the seats to save boot room

Oh just one more down side you can see it when your driving it :D:D

Do not know why they over looked the fact that it is not used every time. Would of been nice to have some sort of holder at the back of the seats to store it in.
Not everyone goes out all the time with an empty boot

Fav: the last old school (modern) roadster, transforming any trip into an event (for us). And of course the shape of the car.
Worst: to let the car in a parking, crowded and open sky.

Ohh forgot to add the only negative , I find the tonneau cover difficult to get on and off , it's a bit rigid and and tight ,but apart from that it's great, and on the subject off the z4 ,it's proberbly the only other car I'd consider after a z3 , I do love those angular retro lines on them imho .

They also have curves Jimmy, you just need the right light to show them off ........

Tony.

It is a car that grows on you. I was gutted when Kim wanted to swap the 3.0 Z3 for the Z4. But now i love the Z4.
I mean whats not to like about this

They do do a travel version of the tonneau cover that folds small
Its material rather than ridgid works i suppose ...
