If it’s Montreal, immaculate with the heated window switch and you deliver it I will give you £500.
My point exactly, I think saying a hardtop and fitting kit is worth £1000 is very optimistic. They may be advertised at that but do they sell?

I don’t think I’m fussed by a hard top - garaged and probly summer use only for me!

Same here, but the seller wouldn't split, so I have a HT and fitting kit I don't need.
Sorry for :offtopic: stuff...

Haha! Don’t mind off topic stuff at all! Not having one yet does mean I’m a bit limited in what I can post and where really - so it gives me an excuse to chip in :tumbleweed:

I would have a hard top for my Z4 but, it would have to be cheap. I use my car every day and having had a hard top on an MX5 in winter it does make the car a lot cosier.

Tony.

If you don't fancy the travelling to look at a zed, you may want to consider what I did.
I have a friend who does auto sourcing.
I told him the model I was looking for, the spec I wanted etc, etc and he scoured the country using his trade contacts to find it.
He then went and had a look at it, did the test drive and ramp inspection and delivered it to my front door.
He treats every car as if he was buying for himself, because his rep depends on it.
I live in Bristol and he found my zed in Nottingham, all I did was pay him his finders fee on top of what he paid for the zed.
It might be worth looking to see if there is a guy near you who offers a service like that.

I think most of the fun is in the chase. I live in Truro and next week I'm picking up my next car from Reading

Reading ? Don’t stop there - the wheels will be off in no time. I recommend a minimum of 20mph at all times.

Yours respectfully

Looking for a Z3.

Budget is £3k give or take.

Looking for either a corker of a 1.9 with low miles and nothing to do on it, or a good solid 6 pot with low-ish miles and perhaps only minor fettling.

Happy to travel for the right one.
@Bridgehouse there's a 2.8 Boston Green with Hard Top just come up in the For Sale section. £2800! Bargain, be quick.

After the missus had her input, if it was any colour other than green I’d be in the car now driving down to have a look. As it is, I’d have to convince her it was enough of a bargain to go with green..,
