Looking for a Z3.

Budget is £3k give or take.

Looking for either a corker of a 1.9 with low miles and nothing to do on it, or a good solid 6 pot with low-ish miles and perhaps only minor fettling.

Happy to travel for the right one.

Agreed - it’s a nice colour indeed. I should have said tho, I’m in Lincs so it’s quite a trek from me! I think for that distance it would need to be a 6 pot to get me to do the miles to have a look!

Looks like a really nice 2.8 that! I think I’d prefer lower mileage, but I don’t really know how important it actually is. Other issue is you are also miles away from me (!)

Don't let mileage put you off, these things are bullet proof when well maintained and if it's a fun weekend car it'll take years to clock up miles.

That’s what I thought, but it’s difficult to get out of that mileage mindset, isn’t it?

The travel distance to view is another thing tho.. I’m going to have to do a lot of chatting online to sellers beforehand I think!

There is a very tidy 2.8 in green with a hardtop ending tomorrow on eBay. Well specked with extended leather interior done 118000 miles. Buy it now is £3300 but open to offers. Get that for £3000 and the hardtop and fitting kit are worth £1000 on their own. More miles than you really want but these are good for 250000 if maintained.

I would pay £500 for a Boston green hard top with full fitting kit. I suspect that I will have a very long wait though!

Nothing has floated my boat yet. The missus isn’t keen on green (which is pretty much all the ones that I’ve seen or have been suggested so far!)

I suspect I’ll be in for the long haul - if anyone decides to sell or sees one/knows of one then let me know! Pref a 6 pot and pref not green
