Wow, thanks for the warm welcome, took 'Zed' out again tonight, the grass isn't going to get cut while the sun is still shining thats for sure! Some great looking examples on display tonight, will try to get to Ragley Hall on the weekend. Will post some photos from this tablet thingy I'm tapping on, my kids say it takes photos aswell...technology! Some useful comments on euro trip as well, thanks. Anyone got a recommendation for a good weather proof cover? Regards, Steve.

Have just purchased my beautiful Z3 3.0L as a 50th birthday present to myself albeit nearly 3 yrs late!! My remit was open top classic & having flirted with the idea of buying an S2000, TR6, Stag, Vitesse, Spitfire I soon realized the old British classics would require too much TLC & the S2000 needs to be driven hard to get the thrills. Oh boy am I glad I decided on the Z, it's an absolutely fantastic piece of automotive art, I haven't stopped smiling. With Laura's milestone 50th next year we are planning an European road trip, so plenty to consider, the general route is pretty much sorted, across northern Spain, southern France, down through Italy & back again via Swiss, Austria Germany ish! Has anyone done this, can you recommend accommodation?
Another question: can someone recommend a good outdoor cover, there seem to be plenty on the web, but a recommendation would be helpful - or indeed what to avoid. Also additional security, was thinking of the simple but seemingly effective hand brake/gear stick clamps, any comments welcome please. Hope to get to a few rallies this summer, is this something this club does? Look forward to meeting some of you. Cheers, Steve.
Hi and welcome from me in Nottingham :welcome:.
Regards outside covers,I have two. A Stormforce monsoon"full" cover and a Cabrio shield top half cover which can be easily stowed away in the car for trips away etc.
Both very good and recommend, not had either cause any marks on the paintwork and been using them since I got the zed last January.
Great to see you're loving the zed, they are quite infectious :coolsteer):D.

Regarding the cover, I also have a Stormforce cover which seems to be good. it was only used for a couple of months while the garage was in use repairing My E46 so I cannot comment on long term use.

Hi, from Bob from Lincolnshire, at present in Rotonda Florida soaking up the sun for a month. Already buying bits on ebay whilst in Florid. Hope u enjoy your Z3 this is our second after a 15 year break but they are still great.
Still having a little trouble with a whining back end not too loud but could do with some advice.
Cheers Bob

Welcome, my wife and I are planning a very similar trip around Europe next year, you might need one of these if your wife carries as much luggage as mine.
