thanks ive phoned them today they said they would have to make one up and would need my car at a cost of about £700.00

ive one more avenue to try from abroad
Strange they show it on the price list at £216.
Towing limit for Z3 seems to be 600kg unbraked, 900kg braked. Will that be enough for your boat?
May be worth replacing rear shock absorbers and top mounts, if they have not been done already.

I bought one of these, haven't fitted it yet though:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Curt-Hitch-Rear-New-E36-Z-Series-for-BMW-Z3-1996-2002-11748/121925678860?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649

They shipped to Japan so the UK will be no problem,

Edit: Of course after posting I noticed out of stock :)

Another seller https://www.ebay.com/itm/CURT-11748...ash=item5b406e98e0:g:ymUAAOSwvApaBAtk&vxp=mtr

An hour o_O my arse.....
First one will take a while. Measure (on a lift) then draw it up, make a prototype, test it, then get enough orders...... after 50 yeah, an hour.;)

don't wand to make them as my normal work keeps me far too busy lol
but looking at the photos its very straight forward i do agree it will take longer to get the bumper off and sus it out but fab time there is nothing in it

I made one for my Bedford HA van when I started working for myself. Saved a lot a money at that time.

I think BMW did not make a towbar for the Z3 for good reason. Recall reading in the past that they actively discouraged fitting a tow bar as the car was not up to it structurally - can't recall the exact reasoning though.
