That would be a nice change from the usual full leather upgrade. I like half leather as well with either real suede or alcantara on the seat bases and backrests. As a bonus they grip better for lively cornering too but I think you will struggle to find any in good condition 2nd hand but if you know somebody handy with an industrial sewing machine then anything is possible. Keep the photos of your progress coming.

Yeah have the Edition 30 GTI and they came with half leather tartan seats and they are the best looking seats I have ever had an so comfortable too. Was even thinking could I fir them in the Z3 but do not think they will look right ha.

Yeah having been looking at the possibility of some totally custom seats

Is it possible to come down on Saturday 25th and if they are as good as they look I will buy them. If you could you give me a hand to fit them that would really help? Do you think I need to order the plastic clips? I would love to talk Z3's with another owner this is my first one. I live in Lymm just off junction 20 on the M6. Am I right in thinking you are based at Market Drayton? Many thanks Terry

Not really been much going off with the Zed as just been gathering parts for some upgrades but managed to replace my old and wearing Gear Knob for a nice all black leather one and cleaned the seats up as were in a shocking state so will now do until I get my new leather seats in a few weeks

Well the kit for the headlight retrofit finally all came along with the spare headlights so did a bit of splitting and test fitting today before I go and spray the inners black.

One bad point is the spare lights I bought have the glass inserts and the tango indicator lens as people call it so once most of the work is sorted I may have to swap the indicator lens as my headlights on the car have been de-tango'd.

For the glass lens I am thinking of doing away with the ones where the projectors would go rather than cutting a hole. Plus I cracked one of the glass lens so that forced my hand. For the lens on the high beam I will probably keep that although need to see how the Halo's fit with that lens in place.

Next steps will be spraying the inard where the projector lens is going and the Projector shroud. Also drilling some unseen holes to feed the wires through.

Looks good. Can’t wait to see some photos of what the headlights look like on the car in the daylight.

Cheers chaps, Yeah was dark once I finished to the point I was connecting things up using my iPhone as light haha.

Not 100% sure on the Halo Rings as seem slightly too big and not super bright in the day so may change. Am very impressed with the LED's though and seem brighter than my genuine xenons on my other car.

So a few more updates, decided to try out some spare sequential LED Indicators I had from my old car to see what they look like and to modernise the lights a bit as really do not like the Indicator section.

Also new wheels on which look much better but needs lowering and spacers I think

They do look much nicer! All Z3s need lowering, 30mm is about right in my opinion. Any lower and you'll drag over everything...
