Hi All,
Thanks for all the welcome messages and as I never managed to do a progress thread on my previous car I thought I would start one with my new little find.
I picked up my new Z3 2.0l Roadster yesterday and what initially was supposed to be a runaround for a few months has converted into a project after I drove it home from the garage and loved the ride.
It is a 2000 model and cost me just over 1k. The exterior is in pretty good condition apart from a few scratches and some laquer peel on the bonnet and rear bumper.
Mechanically it is sound with only 88k on the clock and starts up 1st time and sounds lovely.
The interior is where most of the work is needed in terms of the seats are dirty and drivers side ripped and there is some tape on the passenger door card so need the damage there. There are a few other things also which will need a bit of TLC.
Performance wise I am not really going to do much as any map will not really gain much so will probably only do a few bits like intake and exhaust system.
Never had a BMW so will be a new learning curve as like to do most stuff myself and finding out where I can get parts from.
First thing on the list will be a good clean inside and out this weekend but I have added some pics of how it looks now and hopefully will gradually get better and better over time.
