So the Z3 has been sold, I delivered it to Leeds train station yesterday, the buyer had travelled from Portsmouth after buying it on eBay unseen. He called last night to say he and the zed were safely home and it was parked up in his workshop next to his Riley. He said he was really pleased with it, I think it has gone to a good home.

But what do you replace a Z3 with??

I have been considering a 911 for a while, the 996 looks relatively low priced at the minute and you get 2 extra seats! My boys are 12 and 14, they would almost fit in the back and I would always have the excitement of wondering 'is the engine going to blow up today, or maybe tomorrow'? So 911 is out.

2 +2 seats is pointless, and I have fallen out of love with top down motoring, I know it is powered and only takes 7 seconds but I just cant be bothered winding the roof down anymore. How about a Cayman? The reviews are excellent, lovely looking cars, fast, amazing handling, predictable, boring and I would get called a traitor if I ever showed up on here again!

Clearly I need a car which is fast, exiting, hardtop and acceptable on here, what can it be??

I am now the proud owner of a 2006 Z4M Coupe in Midnight Blue with Champagne and Carbon leather! Time for a new avatar and signature pic.

Looks the business John, so glad you got the car for you:thumbsup:
Love the seats !!!! Do you think they would fit in a Z3
Swap???! Maybe=))

Still love my seats:)

Well done!
But I have a "deja vu" feeling! I think I have seen this car in the last days , on the forum...

Wow John, what a stunner! If we keep getting more Coupes on here I'll have to change the site name ;) Although I do own zcoupe.org - try it, it does work

Welcome back! What a lovely looking car, 2 Z4 coupes arrived on the forum in as many days. Good call.

Yes, it's @Lee who show us on Friday, his new Coupe!
@GazHyde you're right : a new branch of the Zed tree starts to grow!

Thanks everyone, I am so pleased with it, I loved the colour of my Z3 and all the other colours just didn't look right. I spotted this on the Z4 forum, its been pretty well looked after, just a lot of swirls from less than ideal washing technique, easily fixed though.

Gaz, zcoupe.org works perfectly, only problem is it takes me to a page with lots cars with missing roofs!

I'll not forget the Z3 though, I get to see it everytime I log on here, well, half of it (just look to the left of the screen).

And no tin opener jokes yet!

Then do something about it Andy! Come on you know you want to!!

Great looking car John, good choice, best of both worlds, almost! Glad you stayed a BMW owner.:)

Tony.

Great looking Z you have :p
Loving the seats and the colour ;)

Owwwww this is really nice I like your new Zed a lot :p

Very very nice,do like that coupe. I'm sure it's a fabulous drive. Still like the retro look Z3 shape most of all the zeds so far though.Perhaps it's my age and the fact that I always loved the Healey 3000 and AC Ace.

I really like the Z4 Coupe, was toying with getting one, but would miss the top down experience, that's why I have a sports car. to me wouldn't be the same without it being a rag top, but lovely looking car all the same. seen some really excellent mods/body kits done on the Coupe and they look superb.

Thats a cracking looking Coupe :scorecard: Gaz you gave the ladies a lounge, now its gotta be a "Z4 forecourt" next so we 4 owners can go to be on our own and have a little chit chat together.

Very nice John bet your dead chuffed! Now I have an angle grinder you can borrow to sort that waste of tin on top! ;):D
