As supply and demand come into force the Z3 will become less available and that will reflect in the price.
lots of Z4's available, some not so well looked after this has a reflection on all Z4 values
Z3's in the main are now owned by enthusiasts
Having owned both the Z4 is definitely easier to live with so i use it much more Holidays etc.
The Z3 had much more character and as such reached a level of being "special" that i feel the Z4 will nether reach!

Absolutely dumbfounded the Z3 will never look better than a Z4 coupe so even if it gets classic value before my Z4 coupe it’ll never be up there with it. Ugly in comparison. Get yourselves to Spec Savers please.

The z4 Coupe is not included in the comparison, they have rocketed in price aswell. Last year you could get a coupe for 6-8k now they're mostly over 10k.

Just had a look online over here in the Netherlands and this is the best price that I could find one for :-

Z3 s with reasonably low mileage are making good money and rightly so for a beautiful looking roadster. Z4 s don't have that retro popular appeal and a good one can be picked up for far less than a similar Z3 , bargain. As for coupes, the Z4 coupe looks the part whereas the Z3 coupe is a mutilated Z3 roadster. I'd better hide for a while now.

Just got back from my eye/visual test and my vision is very good for my age, have glasses but still don’t need them for driving/ or looking at beautiful cars. God I love the look of my coupe, in fact I rather like the look of Z4 roadsters too.
. Z3s are OK but getting bit past it, and I can still swim.( I think )

I think one of the reason is how i feel about them when the Z3 came out i loved the looks and locked at them longinly but having had kids a sensible (or not so sensible ) family car it had to be , know i have a bit more disposable income i can have a weekend car on the drive and i want it the best it can be and and to me it has to be a z3 because in my 20s and 30s it was the car i always wanted

One of the deciding factors when making the choice fix the Z3 or keep the Z4 SWMBO was definitely and still is firmly in the Z4 camp
