Hi everybody I just bought a 98 Z3 (avatar) with 48800 miles and wanted to know of not-too-difficult mods to add maybe 25hp and what maintenance things I should be aware of and if there are any common issues to watch out for ( the radio volume seems to have a mind of it' s own on mine) it is a 1.9L so far I love it.

Hi and welcome from me in sunny Florida. Great choice of car and forum. Z3's thin on the ground down here this year but seen a few Z4's around. Anything you could possibly want to know about your car is here at the click of a mouse, just shout up, oh and show us some more pictures of your car, we all like pictures!:)

Here you go Tony It is clean a few dings (2 in hood and one on the trunk and one on pass side so far is all i found) and normal expected stone chips for a low car the front fascia is split on the bottom and has some rash under the split, driver seat has a couple small tears about dime size and the radio is weird other than that it is pretty fine mechanically seems great shifts and drives great I drove it about 150 miles today had the net and beauty cover for top when down too, all the stuff that belongs in the trunk is there. top was replaced 2 years ago drove amazing at 100mph (only for a minute)

Welcome Joe!
A lovely combo your mighty M44!
With this mileage, I would stay on the factory power. Is a very enjoyable "little car" , like people like to call her, here , on the forum. Offers loads of fun on the mountain roads!
Enjoy the car and the forum!

Hi from Canada !! I agree with @ Zeti about searching for more power. You'll work very hard to find another 20-25 ponies in the 1.9 short of a turbo or SC or both. Good luck and please let us know if you go for the extra power as there are a lot of 1.9 owners in the M44 Massive who will be watching for something new!! JIM
