Well had the car a week or so and started with a paint job as many areas are in need of attention.
Standard car not sure how it will look in the end as going with the flow


Trim strip this week ready for paint prep hopefully next week.


Bumpers off....


Sills corroded mainly at front so decided new sills best way to go.


Door panels off...


Outer trims removed....


Nearly ready for body shop mid week next week

Yes going to stay with the same colour.
Have decided on some new alloys n tyres along with a few other bits n bobs.

Morning All
Just a bit about me as an intro I am based in Stoke on Trent.
I am a vehicle tech by day for the last 30 odd years or so...
I am self employed and run a small garage with 5 staff so am lucky
to be able to get the Z sorted quickly .
I fix French cars so am very busy and also do all makes plus mot test station.
Married to Steph (The Z is for my other half for her birthday in June).
But i reckon I will be pinching it at the weekend !
2 Kids grown up n left so I am not the bank anymore.
That's about it....Everyone calls me Deano

Sills arrived yesterday and also got to remove windscreen as previously it has been
covered in vinyl around aperture so gonna paint it properly.

hi . where did you get the sills from and how much are they .

From BMW dealer as I tried to buy from Germany online but the postage made them a higher
Cost than locally.
RRP £150+vat each a bit of discount £127+vat each

We are just at cannock . knights of stafford wanted 280 each for the front wings . there are after market ones on the net for 45. what is the difference ?

Just that I suppose not the genuine item .
You would need to look at the quality and design/ fabrication of the non genuine item
To determine if good enough for your project .
