My zed came with air conditioning from factory, however, in the 4 years I've owned the car I've never actually used it.
Decided to get it recharged as could do with it working this summer, the chap that did it was very knowledgeable, checked to see if the system would hold a vacuum for 10-15 minutes - which it did, then added some PAG oil to lubricate the o-rings and compressor after which he added the refrigerant.
Used a digital thermometer after and with the air conditioning turned on and the temperature goes down to around 4.5 degrees c.
Today I was fixing some of the power steering leaks around the hoses and also replacing the oil cooling line when I noticed some green fluid similar to what had been used within the AC system.
After a quick sniff test it looks like it is the PAG oil that was used that's leaking from the pipe that connects up to the compressor.
Wondering if anyone knows if this will be down to the O-Ring that goes on the pipe. And if so is it worth replacing all the O-Rings on the various connectors before getting the system 'recharged' again? Surprisingly the AC still blows nice and cold although I think that it won't be much longer before it starts blowing out warm air.
