Hi and welcome from me in Scotland :welcome:.
Unfortunately no tracking adjustment to rear of a zed 3 most likely problem is the rear semi trailing arm and rear beam mounting bushes are needing replaced.
I have 2 zeds one needs relished and wears inner edges other is ok.
This shows where on the alignment equipment at work 1 is all green and within spec the other has camber and toe issues especially on the nearside.

Welcome from Ireland!

Buy a good brand of tyre and turn them on their rims every 3000 - 4000 miles (keeping an eye on wear) - should provide reasonable mileage.

Hi, as stated above, I had the same issues [most of us do] and resolved the issue by;
  1. change out the rear trailing arm bushings, the rear sub frame bushings,
  2. might as well check out your shocks and mounts as well.
  3. I installed a weld in toe / camber kit so I have a lot of control of this now.
  4. If your tires are the same size front and rear you can rotate. If they are different you cannot rotate. The best you could do is get multi-directional tires and take the tires off of the rims and rotate that way.
Toe issues cause the scrubbing, camber focuses the wear on the inside.
Lowering the car will make the toe and camber more extreme.

Note that it is an involved process to change all these things and you can do it yourself, I did and I am not a mechanic, just youtube certified lol. If you are interested I have a spare weld in toe/camber kit. Let me know after some investigation if you want to buy.

I might even have the process written down somewhere. Are you OK with a spanner? :)

Cheers,

Hi Frederick

Welcome to the forum from Timaru. Always nice to see another N.Z. Z3 on the forum. Where in N.Z are you?

Cooper has your tyre issue well covered.

Regards

Murray
