If it is there no matter what wheel or disc fitted then look at the hub flange to see if it is distorted.

Just a thought but assume that there is no play in the bearing???

Have you got anything stuck between the hub and disc to put it out of alignment??

As Steve said above check if hub is ok

Easy way to get an idea is with a couple of bits of wood and a nail.
Just place the nail head against the disc and turn the disc slowly round

Check the centre as well

Plus if you remove the disc you can check it against the hub as Steve suggested

Just put the nail head against the hub face on the outside of the bolt holes. (Ie close to the edge as possible)

( by the way, this is an old picture ...I didnt strip it all down just to take a picture of it for you =)))

I'll give that a try - though I did a less accurate version of that yesterday. I leaned a tyre iron against the hub and pressed gently with my thumb whilst rotating it, I could feel it push back against the iron.
Assuming it is the hub what do I need to replace? Will I need any specialist tools?

Its difficult to know what you will need until you find the exact cause.

But hub , bearings, possibly a stub axle ( king pin) if that turns out to be damaged???
Well worth contacting our resident breakers who I’m sure will be able to help you out.

It must be the hub/drive flange. Even if the stub axle was bent it would run at that angle continuously there would be no deflection as shown on the video. Has the disc locating screw been snapped and not been lined up with the hole in the disc between two of the wheel bolt holes?

One other thing you can do to isolate the hub itself as the culprit is swap both hubs side to side. Bit of a faff but easy enough to do. Once you remove the main centre hub nut the hub and bearing complete assembly should pull off the stub axle by hand. It may come so far then stick, all you need to do is keep working it back and forth till it comes off.

Tony.
