How To Guide Z3 Door trim removal and install.

Hei Guys, I've purchased a set of original BMW chrome door handle covers, that was the easy part. I've followed a video on Youtube on how to remove and install the chrome covers and gasket. Looked very easy? but first you have to remove the plastic cover to obtain entry to the side of the door and with a screwdriver push the gold latch to release the door cover, after that place the new cover/gasket into place and then pull the gold latch towards you to secure. I've completed the first part removing the old cover but can't seem to pull the latch back to secure. Jammed/no movement...... I've used WD40 etc. very tight area to work in! Has anybody got any idea on how to fix this problem.
Any help would be great. Chris.
