It's a good idea in principle but this bucket is twice as big as a normal one so takes twice as much wash solution and water so twice as heavy so to be honest I don't use it much. The two bucket option suits me.

Problem is if it's half filled there's hardly any water above the grit guard

Defeats the object David,if the guard was made to fit in a normal size bucket that would be great but it doesn't .
