Z3 day

I keep dropping hints that I want to be a granddad before I get too old

A re trimmed steering wheel
Not be here for fathers day though.
What are you hoping for @Sean d ?

Steve

I need valeting stuff mate, got an old sponge and some washing up liquid, the hints have been strong, I have shown Carrie @Andy McDonnell pics of all his gear
I picked up some good tips from Andy, bought a lambs wool wash mit to replace the sponge and a new bucket with a grit guard :).

Steve

Due a new watch, so picked a few and hopefully one will turn up. Of course it would be nice if it was attached to a remap, full stainless steel exhaust, bushes, shocks and Springs but I'm thinking probably just a watch :)

A pair of nomex boots, just in case:whistle:. And daughters cooking brunch, whatever that is.

What does a bucket with a grit guard look like?

Its a bucket with a raised grid so the grit can fall through and you don't sit you sponge in it

I know you know what you are doing Ant - I like the wash mit idea - the bucket with grid so that grit can fall through? I power soak the car first, wash from top down to lower door line all round and finish below this line with a different sponge.:stop:

It's a good idea in principle but this bucket is twice as big as a normal one so takes twice as much wash solution and water so twice as heavy so to be honest I don't use it much. The two bucket option suits me.

I have the same one Steve and as you say its massive .I leave it in the garage with the remaining contents in. A decent shampoo stays active its always good for a clean if the wheels in between washes as my brake pads seem to just take great pride in coating my wheels within 50 yards of home

What make of brake pads do you have Ant ?
I don't know what's in mine as they were fitted by the garage I don't use any more when I got the car but they turn the wheels slate grey in a short time
