Wanted Z3 boot hinges (estoril blue)

Hi all,
My Z3 boot lid has started to catch the bodywork just under the roof at the back left corner of the boot lid. Looks like there's a bit too much play and the hinges are worn.

Does anyone have any boot hinges for estoril blue 2002 Z3??

Are you sure it's not the hydraulic rams that are the issue? The hinges themselves are very simple lumps of metal.

I also didn't know they did Z3s in Estoril.

If indeed it is the hinges and you find new ones, you can just spray them with a rattle can to match your car colour.

I will have a look in my "not needed Z3 parts" box, as I changed my bootlid hinges a while ago because I thought they were knackered. It turned out to be the rams.

The M versions came in Estoril blue. Strictly speaking you are right though, as BMW labelled it as the ‘M Roadster’ when it first came out - deliberately leaving out reference to ‘Z3’. There’s a video on YouTube with the BMW marketing boss at the launch of the car. He comes across as a bit of a snob, and personally, I’m glad that most people now refer to it as the Z3 M, cos that’s what it is -definitely part of the Z3 family but at the same time a worthy part of the M family.
