Hi, there's a standard Hamann set of three on ebay at £78, is that a good price. Also the extension but it's LHD. JIM

That's the same seller I bought my "M-Tec" ones from.

I was robbed with mine.
I paid £78 for just a brake and accelerator pedal.
Had to buy the set above just for the dead pedal. Oh well.

Sorry Jim, I posted a link to Auto Pedals only. its just occurred to me that yours might be manual.

Hi guys, are these Taiwan knock offs or genuine Hamann? Did find the RHD extension piece, my concern is with the quality, they look the same but are they really? The Japanese set has a Hamann part # whereas the Taiwan is different. And, the £78 includes shipping. I bought a schnitzer? shifter and found a matching set of pedals so may go that direction. Thanks, JIM

I would say they are knock offs based on the price, genuine hamann parts are very expensive.

Probably are knock-offs.

I'll report back on quality when the cheaper one's arrive as I've already got genuine one's installed for comparison

Thanks, I'll appeciate your input, with the shipping there's not a lot of difference in cost so I'd rather pay more for genuine and get the matching extension at the same time. I'll need to adapt it much like T- has so thanks Tony for the pics, gives me a shot at getting it right. Has anyone replaced their complete shifter with the schnitzer? The one I bought doesn't have instructions but for a new part for £80 I guess I can figure it out. JIM

When I got my pedals they had a "Sport" sticker covering the //M logo's. This was declared on the eBay listing but I'm pretty sure they were copies of someone's parts but at the price I wasn't being too sniffy. If you need any info Jim just yell.:)

Hi Tony, I'm just about to install the aluminium reinforcement and was wondering.....do the longer screws go through the sides and the shorter ones through the top? Cheers

Hi Guys, I ended up buying the schnitzer set for the pedals from a UK seller to match my new shifter and an extension which from the pic looked to be curved on the left side. That came from an American. When it arrived it is rectangular and when I again questioned the seller he pretty much blew me off. Not sure if it can be cut down easily and still look presentable. When you put the new pedal covers on do I remove the present ones? JIM

How can anyone who has an autoslush gearbox have the balls to admit to fitting alloy covers on their pedals? :wtf:
And, the extra weight will only slow you down more!
I suppose it helps the heel and toeing though!=))

Hi mate yes the longer ones go through the side, did you make the plywood piece to space it out?

Hi sirius-c please post pics if possible, I'm not sure if I'll be able to use my extension or be able to modify it to fit as I have a manual trans. And not a lot of room. JIM

Ooops, no I didn't....it's very secure though....it's had a bashing from my size 11

Oldcarman:
There's not a lot of room in mine.

I used Tony's base reinforcement, but I had to modify the profile slightly on a couple of edges with a slitting disc and finished it off with a flap disc.

I thought it a shame to do the same to the hamann dead rest plate, although I did have to shave a bit off on the bottom left corner where it butts up against the carpet. Anyhow..... so I dry fit Tonys reinforcement, then put the Hamann plate on top, which sits at a slight angle to the reinforcement, I then marked my holes and drilled (4.2mm) and tapped (m5) holes into the reinforced base plate......Screwed Tonys reinforcement in (forgetting the plywood, oops) then bolted my plate to the top. You'll have to hacksaw the m5 bolts to the right length.
My hamann plate overhangs Tonys base plate at the bottom by about 20mm, but all in all its nice and wide and very secure.

Oh btw oldcarman, in response to your previous post...... the brake and accelerator pedals are genuine hamann, and I'm guessing the dead pedal is the knock off as it was cheap.....but they all match.

Not an issue for me.....I was banned from driving for 3 months last year for racing a lotus Elise on the A59 ( Skipton <> Harrogate), I could do with slowing down.

I bought my schnitzer pedal set from eBay UK and the extension from the USA. There was a set of genuine Hamann from Japan on the same site but haven't seen it for a while now. Quality looks good on both purchases and reasonably priced. HTH JIM
