Watched a Silver Z3 3.0ltr auto 03 plate with 70k go for £4800 on e bay last night, other than what looked like a mark on the rear o/s bumper car looked straight. Watched with interest for the last 20 minutes expecting the price to rise but nothing. Anyone on here buy it? looked like a bargain for what was one of the last Z's with all the toys and that super V6 lump.

I also watched it Paul, downside for me is that its auto

It actually got up to £5,300 last Sunday and by Monday it was £4.800 and didn't move. 3 owners. Lost service history........ alloys kerbed....but looked a decent car. There's a few other 3L cars about. One new one on eBay @ around £7k and what looks a nice one with 40k miles on gumtree for £6.2k with history.
Another z3M in bca Blackbushe auction tomorrow where they hoping to get somewhere between 11.5 and 12.5k for it. 60k miles and looks ok but nowhere near the one that went for £12.5 plus buyer costs last Monday.
It had 40k miles with history.

RELISTED THIS MORNING!

Auto - maybe that's putting folks off and keeping the price down or maybe still too early for the weather to make people want a soft top?

^a 3.0 litre for that price !! , the prices over here are a lot higher for the 6 cylinder cars

^sure, but the steeringwheel is on the wrong side

Same problem as me but to be honest after the first 100 feet it's been no problem at all. Though I still look right sometimes looking for the rear view mirror!! And I saved several thousand $$ even with shipping over the Atlantic and half of Canada!! JIM

I think the V6 is putting them off, must have had an engine swap at some time.......

How can that happen on a vehicle listed without reserve?
The purchaser couldn't come up with the cash is the usual reason Paul! Sometimes it's relisted and others it's offered to the next highest bidder that can make the deal complete. I believe the seller has the choice which they want to do!! HTH JIM

Something not quite right here. Reached a much higher price then bids retracted and finished on 4.6k.
I placed a few bids but won't be bidding this time.
It's as if the person who ended with the winning bid wasn't the person who should have been winning!!!

Could be a touch of skullduggery, people generally know what they want for a car before listing it, I imagine the fella has had quite a few offers outside of auction.. but if it's as nice as it's described then £4500 is probably a suitable price for an automatic.... I think a manual of similar condition and milage are upwards of £6000 from what I've noticed.
Automatic or not it appears to be rather nice... And already has a lot of interest.

You can have as many Ebay accounts as you like which means you can bid on your own items to boost the price, the problem comes when you win your own item.

The seller may have been looking at the history of the bidders. The common currency is that eBay isn't the best of places to sell cars. So much aggravation from serial defaulters. :(
